One of the things that I love to score a great deal on is yogurt. I absolutely refuse to pay more than a $1 for a 4 pack – or $0.25 per cup. I can often grab the yogurt we love for that amount or less when I wait for a sale or pair it with a coupon. Or, when I can find it on Manager’s Special at Kroger.
My husband loves to eat yogurt straight from the cups, but I prefer mine in smoothies. Since he isn’t able to eat 20 cups before they all expire, I have taken to freezing our yogurt. It is very simple and works great for smoothies!
All you have to do is spoon the yogurt into ice cube trays. Freeze 4-5 hours or until frozen. Remove from trays, place in ziploc bag and put into the freezer. Simply pull out desired amount when you need a yogurt fix.
You may want to keep count of how many cubes 1 yogurt cup will fill. I use 1 cup of yogurt per smoothie which equaled out to be 4 cubes for me. It may be different for you.
