Before we moved my husband and I ate of our freezer for almost 6 weeks straight in order to minimize the amount of food we would have to move across state. Now that we are moved and settled into our new place, it was time for another round of freezer cooking in order to restock our freezer with meals for the next month or so.
We spent less than four hour together in the kitchen this past Saturday afternoon and whipped up almost 40 meals that should last us well through September and maybe some of October as well. Now we can rest easy and simply pop in our healthy, homemade meals for the next month rather than driving through the drive thru on our crazy, hectic nights.
Here is a tally of what accomplished this weekend:
- Hamburger patties x 8
- Spaghetti x 6
- Chili x 5
- Marinated Chicken x 12
- Pizza Dough x 8
While we didn’t cook a wide variety of meals this time, we will alternate with sandwiches, left overs, salads and I have a few roasts in the freezer that we can use in order to mix things up over the next month. All in all, we made a ton of wholesome meals in order to tide us over for the next month or more! 🙂
