If you have already been menu planning for awhile, you know that it is easy to get ‘stuck in a rut’ with your meals. We all have our ‘Go To Recipes’ and, after a few months, they can become rather tiresome!
It is important when you plan out your menus that you make sure to either space out your reoccurring meals in order to keep your menu fresh and appealing to your family. No one wants spaghetti twice a week for the rest of their lives.
I have found that menu planning has opened up a whole new world of recipes for me. We try at least 2 new recipes in our house a month. Some we like, some we don’t, but we try them. The ones we like, we rotate into our menu every so often. The ones we don’t like fall off of our menu rotation.

AllRecipes.com is a wonderful site not online because they have an endless supply of recipes, but because you can also use it to see what recipes match with the items you already have on hand. If you have ground beef and potatoes, it may suggest you make Shepherds Pie. I love to use this tool whenever I have trouble coming up with ideas to use the items I have on hand!
