Target & Walgreens Shopping Trips

My parents and 6 of my siblings are coming down this weekend to celebrate my Dad’s birthday together.  My parents are headed out on their anniversary trip next week too, so 5 of my brothers will be staying with us for the next week.

Needless to say, with 8 additional people coming I had some serious shopping to do yesterday!     I spent the entire day shopping and prepping for their visit – while I did a major shopping trip to Sam’s and Aldi I decided not to post those trips or include them in our shopping totals for this month.

I did manage to score some great deals at Target and Walgreens yesterday though!  ;)

Last Weeks Walgreens Trip

I haven’t shopped at Walgreens in F.O.R.E.V.E.R. so I am a little out of practice, but I wanted to drop by last week and grab some free tape and Chocolate Peeps.    I thought my total seemed rather high to be getting all 5 items free, but looking at my receipt now I see that the cashier didn’t scan one of my coupons leaving my subtotal at $0.99 instead of $0.00.  Oh, well!

Please note that these deals are from last weeks deals.   See all of this weeks Walgreens Deals for the current sale and coupon match up!

Walgreens Trip #2

I went in last Saturday night wanting to score some more $0.50 Quaker Oats only to find 1 box left on the shelf.   I asked the cashier if I could get a rain check, and when the manager came to write me one she told me she had more in the back and asked how many I wanted.   I have had trouble with this manager in the past, but when she asked how many I wanted and I ended up walking out of there with 10 boxes of oatmeal for less than $6.00 total.   I plan to donate some of these to our church pantry.

Stay tuned…Target & Sam’s trip coming up!
