:: About Me
My name is Meg and I am so glad to have you here at Saving On The Essentials! Being the second oldest of eight children {with six brother!}, I learned the value of a hard earned dollar at an early age. But, it wasn’t until I married in March of 2009, that I earnestly began seeking ways in which to save my family money. An entire new world opened up to me as I began learning how to shop the sales at different stores and pair coupons up with the sales to save even more!
It wasn’t long before I became aware how agreeably I was giving my money away by not shopping sales and using coupons – and enough was enough. While I do still pay full price for some things, it’s a rare occurrence. You may think that shopping this way has caused my husband and I to live differently and you would be right! Our standard of living is much higher since we stared using coupons and shopping sales than before when we simply shopped by throwing different items in our cart.

Andrew and I live in West Tennessee where Andrew works as an aircraft mechanic at one of our local airports and I am a stay at home housewife. We both love the Lord and strive to serve Him in all areas of our lives – including our finances.
When I’m not blogging I love to curl up with a good book and a hot cup of tea, tweaking new recipes, spend time with my hubby, watch Monk, and take pictures of God’s beautiful creations. I have a passion for photography, serving my Lord and Savior, family, shopping the sales and saving money, garage sales, flip flops, cherry slushes, and all things pink and brown!
